Breed Info

Teddy Bear

The Teddy Bear is an adorable, affectionate breed known for its charming personality and gentle disposition, making it a perfect fit for families and individuals alike. Developed as a hybrid between the Shih Tzu and Bichon Frise, these medium-sized dogs boast a delightful mix of softness and playfulness that endears them to everyone they meet. Their friendly nature extends to young children, other dogs, and even cats, which makes them an excellent companion for a multi-pet household.

With a moderate energy level, Teddy Bears enjoy their playtime but also love snuggling up on the couch for some quality downtime. They adapt well to apartment living, thriving in smaller spaces while maintaining a happy and lively demeanor. Regular weekly grooming keeps their fluffy coats looking their best and minimizes shedding, so you can enjoy your furry friend without worrying too much about pet hair around your home.

Trainability is one of their strong suits; Teddy Bears are intelligent and eager to please, making them relatively easy to train if provided with positive reinforcement. Their affectionate nature means they love being around their humans, and they will likely become a cherished member of your family. If you are looking for a dog that combines charm, adaptability, and a loving heart, the Teddy Bear might just be the perfect companion for you.
