The name Cardigan Welsh Corgi translates to ‘dwarf dog’ and you should see this four-legged canine. They are yard-long dogs and are known for their undocked tails and their very short legs. This, however, does not inhibit them from being sweet little companions. Petland is honored to offer first-class Cardigan Welsh Corgi puppies and our caring team of puppy specialists will help answer any questions you may have.
The Cardigan Welsh Corgi is descended from the Teckel family of dogs. This breed of dog is believed to have been in existence in Wales for over 3,000 years. It was brought in aboriginal form by the Celtic tribes who migrated from central Europe to Wales. This breed has had a long proven history as a great family dog since.
The Cardigan Welsh Corgi is a very friendly and playful dog. They enjoy spending time around their family and love your attention. They are very approachable dogs with a warm and gentle demeanor. Their personalities are generally easy-going and fun to be around. This breed does well with children and other pets in the household.
The Cardigan Welsh Corgi has a thick double coat with two distinct shedding cycles; spring and fall. Daily brushing will help keep this pup’s coat looking and feeling great. Routine bathing every four to six weeks is also recommended. Making sure to incorporate routine nail trimming for this dog is also advised.
Cardigan Welsh Corgis are moderately active dogs and do need sufficient amounts of energy to feel their best. The correct ratio of meat-based protein and micronutrients, as well as healthy carbs and fats, will keep this breed healthy. Many Cardigan Welsh Corgi owners recommend feeding this dog two meals a day, spaced about twelve hours apart. It is also very important to remember to provide your dog with proper dental care. It is suggested that his teeth get cleaned a minimum of three times a week. Failing to keep his teeth clean can contribute to health issues.
This breed stands between ten and thirteen inches tall.
This breed weighs between twenty-five and forty pounds.
The average life expectancy for this breed is between twelve and fifteen years.

Fact: This breed makes a great family pet that does well with children.
Usually, they are better off with 20 to 30 minutes of exercise daily. You could take them on a walk or two given the opportunity.
This would naturally depend on their age at the time. When they are younger you could feed them 3 times daily and this could progress to twice daily until they get to their first birthday.
This dog breed is usually very well behaved and good-natured too. They love to be busy and could be friendly. They could turn out to be perfect pets if trained right.
The average life expectancy of the Cardigan Welsh Corgi is 12 to 15 years.
Every dog could be a disaster if not trained right. A Cardigan is easy to train when they are puppies. A classic fetch game does wonders as they love to be active.
This dog breed could be aggressive towards other dogs. They are small but won’t hesitate to fight their way out of a challenge.
This dog breed hates to be left all by himself for long periods of time. They could be unbearable to live with and may bark all day. They could also suffer separation anxiety.
They announce every visitor or stranger. They were herding dogs so you should understand their need to bark. They could, however, be trained not to.
Yes, they are. They would need some getting used to though. When they get to know you, they’ll love you like family.
Every dog would prefer to be bought in pairs. This will aid socialization and training. Cardigans are definitely better off in pairs as they would learn companionship.

GOOD Based on 1275 reviews Posted on Pam OTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The store was clean. The bettas were not kept in small bowls. They were kept in small aquariums with filtration which is a big improvement over most large pet stores. They had a decent amount of varieties of fish and a really good variety of freshwater plants.Posted on Dale NTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My dog loves it therePosted on Liana QTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. They have the cutest cats ever and it’s good behaviorPosted on Ken kTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. James was absolutely awesome to deal with the process went pretty easy and they were very thorough about their process and we could not be happier with our little babyPosted on Amy MTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We LOVE this pet store! They have dogs and sometimes cats too. They also have bunnies, hamsters, ferrets, guinea pigs, mice, birds and a nice selection of fish. Adults and teens are able to get hamsters, mice and rabbits and guinea pigs out and hold them while children pet them as long as you are very careful and use sanitizer before and after handling g them. You can also get a puppy out and they have little designated areas you can spend some time playing with the puppy! We enjoy this as its fairly close and easy to pop in while getting our dog supplies. The only downfall is that it is a pet store and I would recommend rescuing a dog or cat instead of supporting the breeders as thease are full bred dogs from breeders. There are just so many dogs that are already here that need rescued rather then breeding more. But come check it out even just to get your puppy fix or something to do that costs nothing!
