Breed Info

Yorkiepoo

The Yorkiepoo is an adorable blend of Yorkshire Terrier and Poodle, bringing together the best of both breeds in a charming and compact package. This hybrid started to gain popularity in the United States in the late 20th century, as families began to search for smaller, hypoallergenic companions that were both playful and affectionate. With their beautiful coats and lively spirits, Yorkiepoos have quickly become beloved family pets, often adjusting seamlessly into various home environments.

Known for their friendly and social temperament, Yorkiepoos thrive in family settings and are particularly good with children, other dogs, and even cats. Their outgoing nature makes them fantastic companions for those looking for a loving dog that enjoys being part of daily life. Plus, with high affection levels, these little cuties will shower their owners with love, forming strong bonds with every family member they encounter.

Despite having a moderate energy level, Yorkiepoos still require daily exercise to keep them healthy and happy. Short walks, playful games, and playtime indoors will satisfy their activity needs, making them an excellent fit for apartment living. Their grooming requirements are manageable, needing weekly attention to keep their coats looking lovely and reduce shedding, which means less fuss for busy owners who want a low-maintenance but adorable addition to their family.

When it comes to trainability, Yorkiepoos shine with their eagerness to please and intelligence. They respond well to consistent training and positive reinforcement, making them quick learners. While they may have a tendency to bark, this can often be curbed with proper training, ensuring that this delightful breed can be both a charming companion and a well-mannered member of your household. If you’re looking for a Yorkiepoo in Petland Lake St. Louis & Fenton, MO, you may just find your new best friend waiting for you.
